“OFFERING” was my first foray into working with copper. I quickly learned that this is a difficult and physically trying medium. The most difficult part of this piece was the body, not the handles. And while working with fire was tough, the hammering out of the surface design was really tough. . . …but also tremendous fun! Loved the pink and peach colors and am looking forward to adding stone to my next pieces.
(The contrast of the femininity of the palette with the toughness of the metal is an interesting combination and led me to a more delicate vessel with curvy handles and a wildlife design).
